Most of you know who I am, soI will skip all that and give you an overview of my trip and thoughts behind it. So I left the states at 1 in the morning on fourth of July to spend 11 days in Costa Rica and a month and a half in Peru.
For a long time I have wanted to travel Central and South America and thought right after graduating is a perfect time to do it. Jobs prospects were slim so I decided to take what money I have and help other countrys economies.
The Costa Rica part of the trip is purely for enjoyment and kind of a warm up for speaking Spanish. It is unbelievably easy for backpackers to travel around and the scenery and people are amazing. As for Peru I have gone through an organization called GeoVisions to live with a family for a month and help the kids and whoever else with English. Probably reading this you are thinking that I am the last person who should be teaching English, and I agree but I will try. The family lives in Lima and consists of the mom, dad and two kids ages 20 and 9. I know this will be an experience I will never forget. Its always sad leaving family and friends behind for 2 months but I think this trip will prove worth it.
